29th Bienal Poster

Authorship: André Stolarski, Aninha de Carvalho and Felipe Kaizer

“The idea was to give form and consistency to the motto ‘There’s always a cup of sea to sail in,’ by Jorge de Lima, following, among many interpretations, the fact that, despite the difficulties, it is always possible to go on. An improvised compass in a glass of water alludes to the semantic universe proposed by the edition. It is a familiar image, which produces reactions that are as affective as they are intellectual. Two circles – one large and defined, one smaller and crossed by a line—form a clear visual conundrum, reinforced by a multicolored and vibrant graphic layout, even if all the needles coherently point in the same direction.”
