CURATORIAL WORKSHOP Permeable Practices: On Curating and Education

As part of its educational sessions, the Fundação Bienal de São Paulo, in collaboration with Sesc-SP, organizes a workshop for curators, educators, cultural agents and researchers interested in studying curatorial and educational processes.

Proposed by the 32nd Bienal curatorial team, the program combines individual and group sessions where the participants are invited to discuss and develop strategies for operation and realization of their own projects. The conversations and presentations by the selected participants will focus on three central lines of research: decolonization, learning and unlearning, genealogies and fiction.

The program seeks to establish a space in which the projects presented can be tested, considered and directed in a process of collective experimentation. Participants will also have the opportunity to look closely into the 32nd Bienal de São Paulo construction process and to become familiar with the practices of its interlocutors, curators, artists and professionals whose involvement goes beyond the exhibition.

Each participant will be expected to present a project and maintain an active and constructive posture towards the development and directions of the workshop. To participate in the selection, full availability is required so that all integrants will attend every meeting.

From October 24 to 28 • 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm

Sites: Fundação Bienal de São Paulo, Parque Ibirapuera, Gate 3 – Ciccillo Matarazzo Pavilion and Centro de Pesquisa e Formação do Sesc (Bela Vista)
Meetings will be conducted in Portuguese, English and Spanish
12 places available. Free of charge
